Douglas B. Reeves
Dr.
Douglas B. Reeves is one of education s most respected experts in
the field of assessments and standards. He is the CEO and founder
of the Center for Performance Assessment, an international organization
dedicated to improving student achievement and educational equity.
The Center has helped schools and districts across the United States
to improve student achievement through practical and constructive
approaches to standards, assessment, and accountability.
Dr. Reeves speaks nationally and internationally for education,
government, and business organizations.
He is a faculty member of leadership programs sponsored by the Harvard
Graduate School Education and has written more than 20 books and
many articles.
Dr. Reeves has spent many years as a classroom teacher at all levels
from elementary to postgraduate. He has twice been selected for
the Harvard Distinguished Authors Series and won the Parent s Choice
Award for his writing for children and parents. He was recently
named the 2006 Brock International Laureate, one of the most prominent
education awards in the world.

Douglas Reeves is the founder of The Leadership and Learning
Center. He has worked with education, business, nonprofit, and
government organizations throughout the world. The author of more
than 20 books and many articles on leadership and organizational
effectiveness, he has twice been named to the Harvard University
Distinguished Authors Series. His monthly column on change
leadership appears in Educational Leadership. Dr. Reeves was
named the Brock International Laureate for his contributions to
education. He also received the Distinguished Service Award from
the National Association of Secondary School Principals and the Parents
Choice Award for his writing for children and parents.
